Actually, I would like to know what is puzzling or perturbing about "an organization that implements customer support in Python."

While I'm a dedicated Perl programmer, I'm also part of the leadership of the Parrot virtual machine project -- for which Chip formerly served as architect. If we want Python programmers to develop an implementation on Parrot and then use it in some way in a production context, then we can't afford to take a condescending attitude toward Python.

Why would Python be intrinsically inferior to Perl 5 with respect to implementing customer support?
